problem with steering wheel controls

hello from Greece
i have a Xsara1 model 1998 and i have problem with steering wheel controls and cassette player (philips 22rc465/35s)
I bought the car recently and had no sound system,i found philips 22rc465/35s to ebay and i ordered.received it today and connect it to the car but the steering wheel controls do nοt work
only the button MUTE work but when pressed searching station!!
A friend told me that in our country, the delegation was making this model with various cassette player
my friends what can I do to work the steering wheel controls?

As you friend said, I think the philips you bought is not compatible with your xsara. Then it doesn't accept the steering wheel controls.
Or maybe the threads are not at the right place. To begin, you should check the threads.

today i had the car in a local car audio electrician,he check with Multimetre (and manual photo) and not found something problem on threads..

Like Romzz and your friend said, there is an compatibility issue, maybe philips sold an adaptator, but I don't know.

i think the problem is in the steering wheel control,i check with multimeter the resistors and it give me wrong results.(i connect the multimeter in iso connector and pushing all buttons)

also i check with resistors the philips cassette player and work perfect,the results is same with picture

maybe this cassette player is not compatible with steering wheel controls but if i buy a new cdplayer with adapter and the steering wheel controls resistors have a problem i lost many money.

PS : Pour les autoradio ALPINE, pas de possibilitées d'interfaces 'maison', ils ont besoins d'infos numériques en entrée (bus I2C)
